The Oxford Lawyers Without Borders Society made up of students from the University of Oxford seeks to support the work of its parent organisation, Lawyers Without Borders, and to promote human rights from a legal perspective.
Lawyers Without Borders is an international, non-profit NGO which aims to protect the integrity of the legal process, advance the rule of law, enforce global human rights and encourage the culture of pro bono service within the legal profession, without geographical or political constraints.
Members of the Oxford Student Division will have the opportunity to attend talks by leading individuals in the human rights field, become directly involved with casework on behalf of several human rights NGOs, and to potentially partake in overseas expeditions to work on rule of law and legal aid development programmes.
